Manchester City star Antoine Semenyo received high praise from former Premier League star Jermain Defoe recently, who believes that the Ghanaian has been a valuable inclusion to the Citizens this season.

Semenyo joined City from Bournemouth for an initial fee of £62.5 million during the January transfer window and made an immediate impact to Pep Guardiola’s attack line.

The 26-year-old has since scored three goals in four games for City, while boasting 13 goals in 25 games for the 2025/26 campaign overall.

Reflecting on Semenyo’s early stages at City, Defoe went as far as saying that the African attacker is unplayable on his day.

“We have seen him do that a lot of times, but to do that, it was special,” said on the Premier League Productions, as per Ghanasoccernet.

“He scores goals and assists as well. He is just unplayable.

“He is dynamic.”
