Well known for his philanthropic activities, Al Nassr forward Sadio Mane recently put plans in place to open an internationally based football organization.
According to Ghanaweb, the ex-Liverpool hero will open what is known as the ‘Sadio Mane International Institute’ later this year.
The institute will be based in Bourges, with the aim being to help young athletes to progress on and off the pitch. Also, the report mentions that the programmes of the organization will support young athletes to better equipe themselves with the rigors of elite sports.
Local authorities, businesses and other nonprofit organizations will reportedly assist Mane in the establishment to increase their chances of employment and draw them closer to local communities.
Along with the lifestyle workshops, athletes will also work alongside coaches that will provide them with tools to empower themselves in their respective sporting codes.
Ghanaweb also reported that Mane will be the majority shareholder of the company, who will instil values of ‘hard work, ambition and kindness’ into the interested parties.
