Out-of-favour Nice striker Terem Moffi has expressed uncertainty over his future after FC Porto decided not to make his loan deal permanent.
The Nigeria international joined the Dragons on a six-month loan in January after his falling-out with Les Aiglons supporters two months earlier in the wake of a six-match losing streak across all competitions.
Moffi’s agreement with the Portuguese giants included a clause with an option to buy for €8 million at the end of the season, but they chose not to go through with the purchase after he scored just two goals in 15 appearances.
The 27-year-old centre-forward is now expected to leave the Allianz Riviera in the off-season despite having one year left on his contract with Claude Puel’s side.
Speaking ahead of the Super Eagles’ clash with Jamaica in the Unity Cup, Moffi admitted he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, but he’s choosing to concentrate on what he can control.
“Honestly I have no clue on what’s going to happen,” he said in an interview with Nigeria Football Weekly.
“The future I don’t like to think about it, only the present. What happens today is what I’m focused on.”
