The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) has appointed Patrice Neveu as the new head coach of the country’s men’s national team.
The appointment was announced by the FTF on social media on Thursday.
Neveu brings extensive African experience to the Sparrowhawks, having served as head coach of Gabon, Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea and Niger in his career.
The 71-year-old’s last post was with Gabon, where he led the Panthers from May 2019 until October 2023.
Togo finished fourth in group B of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying, managing one win, five draws and four losses in its campaign under Daré Nibombé, who was relieved of his duties in December.
The Sparrowhawks are currently ranked 124th in the world according to the FIFA Men’s World Rankings and last appeared at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2017.
Neveu will be looking to lead the national team to new heights.
