While Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos previously expressed that he was not feeling the usual ‘vibe’ at the showpiece, midfielder Teboho Mokoena believes that the ‘real’ Africa Cup of Nations will now commence.
South Africa will take on Cameroon in the Round of 16, in what is cooking up to be one of the most keenly anticipated fixtures in Morocco at this stage.
According to Mokoena, Bafana Bafana will have to tighten their defensive unit as the knockout phase approaches swiftly.
“We’re happy as a team to go to the next round, I think the real tournament starts now,” Mokoena said, as per iDiskiTimes.
“I think we have to improve, we have conceded so many goals already, so yeah, we need to improve on that, at least we’re scoring, so that’s good.”
