The 60-year-old Tunisian has virtually seen it in major sporting activities in Tunisia, Africa and elsewhere in the world.
At the Olympics, Football World Cup, Athletics World championships, the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), inter-continental championships and Africa inter-clubs championships and other tournaments, Manoubi has diligently and professionally served to the brim.
He is among the thousands of journalists accredited to provide coverage for the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
“This is my 11th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament to cover” he proudly asserts.
“I have been at the Olympic Games and different FIFA World Cups. This is my calling” he adds.
With his trade-mark Mexican hat, red coat and multi-colored neck-tie, he proudly dons the different country flags that have participated in the events he has covered.

“I have a number of country flag badges from the different tournaments I have covered in my country, on the African continent and elsewhere internationally. It is a passion that I would love to carry on and possibly pass on to my children as well as the upcoming generation” Manoubi reveals.
The Tunisian has covered an astonishing 11 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments, 6 FIFA World Cup championships and a number of continental championships.
For his passion of the job, commitment and diligence, he remains a role model to many upcoming sports journalists back in his native Tunisian country and across the world.
At the on-going AFCON 2025 in Morocco, he has attracted the attention of many media houses with numerous sit-down dialogue and quick flash vox-pox interview.
He is also more so like a monument where many reporters and fans are asking for photo opportunities with him.
Father’s inspiration:
Manoubi drew the inspiration from his late father, Bashir Manoubi who for the record covered 15 FIFA World Cup tournaments, 15 Olympic Games, among other tournaments.
